With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and cherished friend.     Kenneth David Kirton passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, at home, surrounded by the love of his family, just as he wished.  Ken leaves to mourn his loving Mother (Linda Koop), Father (Harley Kirton), Daughters (Lily and Dannis), Son (Mathew Meekis), Sisters (Melinda Kirton), (Nadine Kirton), (Shirley & Lorne Henrikson), (Donna Kirton),(Charlene riel), numerous Aunts and Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, special friends (Andrea), (Wilma and family), his nephew Wesley Alan Kirton and his niece Annie Thomchuck are in heaven.

Ken lived life to the fullest. He treasured spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed dancing, cooking, and making YouTube videos with his close friend, Lance. His laughter, generosity, and caring spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered forever.

Kenny was born and raised in Manigotagan. He was a caring and loving person, always smiling and eager to meet new people and loved to laugh. Ken was a man who filled every room with laughter, kindness and love, he had a wonderful sense of humor and loved teasing people in a way that always brought smiles, He enjoyed dancing and driving around the loop with his special friends, making videos with his best friend Lance and creating memories that will be forever cherished, Ken also was dedicated to the Manigotagan Fire Department as he held the position of community dispatcher for the department and would alert the department when emergencies happened.

The family would like to thank the Saint Boniface Hospital staff and Pine Falls Health Complex for their kindness during our brother's illness.

Pallbearers are Jayden Wood, Vern Cook, Keith Kirton, Taylor Kirton, Kelly Fisher, George Simard, Todd Moneyas, Shayle Moneyas. Honourary Pallbearers are Lance Wood, Ferlin Meade, Peter Duck, Brett Wood, Mildred Wood, Geraldine Wood. We would also like to thank our fire keepers, Howard Wood and George Simard.

Wake service will be held at the Alex Wood Memorial Hall in Manigotagan, Manitoba on Wednesday, July 8th & Thursday, July 9th, and the Funeral Service on Friday, July 10 at 2:00 pm.
