River Chanelle Sanderson
March 3, 2009 - January 23, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce that our beloved  River  Chanelle Sanderson entered the arms of Jesus on January 23, 2026.

River is survived by her parents, Crystal Dawn Scott (Jules) and Luke Sanderson (Cassidy), her brother Christian, and her special Nan, Cybil Williams. She was very close to  Aunt Dakota (Aaron), little cousin Eva, as well as her special aunt Jasmyne. River also leaves to mourn her grandfather, Tom Scott (Leah), paternal grandmother, Doreen Sanderson (Mike), and great-grandmother Rose Scott.   She will be missed by her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

River was cherished by all who cared for her due to her polite nature and kind heart. She took great care of her mother, grandmother (Nan) , brother and little cousin. She was an exceptionally talented artist. She was quick-witted and had a passion for eccentric, eclectic and niche interests, as well as psychology. She planned on going to school for fine arts to pursue her passion and talent in graphic arts. She will be especially remembered for her constant drawing and creativity.  She was a delightful companion and had a unique spirit. She was quick-witted and greatly loved by those who were close to her.

River had a special faith and relationship with  Jesus. She embraced his teachings of love, kindness and mercy.  Though we mourn her loss daily, we know we will be reunited with her in Heaven.

A celebration of her life will be held at Deliverance Center, 1831 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, with Pastor Raymond Cornish officiating. Sunday night service will be at 7:00 PM, February 1, 2026, at 1831 Selkirk Avenue.  Funeral services will be at 1:00  PM on Monday, February 2, 2026, with internment at Brookside Cemetery. A lunch will follow at 1831 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The family would like to express our appreciation and gratitude for the kindness of extended family, friends, and those who provided kindness and compassionate care for River.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
