She also leaves behind her six step-children and many step-grandchildren. Her brother-in-law Lorne, sister-in-law Trudy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins close to her heart.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jack Babisky and her adoring second husband, Archie Stamm. As well as her parents, James and Violet Parks, her brother Alvin, his wife Joan, her brother Jack, and her dear sister Gail.
Myrna was born and raised in Lockport, Mb. She went on to work various jobs, including IGA where she spent many years. Myrna met Jack through their shared love of music and were married in 1955 and shortly after, their daughters Janice and Wendy were born. Myrna and Jack spent 33 wonderful years together until his passing in 1987. She then went on to marry Archie, who was a long-time family friend, in 1992 and spent another lovely 12 years until his passing in 2004.
She was happiest listening to old-time fiddle music and giving a step. She loved playing guitar, singing country music, going to the casino, playing bingo, and traveling. She was the best cook and Sunday dinners were a family favorite as well as the holidays she hosted. Myrna was adored by so many and had such an infectious, witty and determined spirit. She loved with all her heart and would give the shirt off her back to those she loved. There will truly never be another like her, and she will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at Red River Place for their care and compassion. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and her service will be on June 6th at 2 p.m. at the Little Britain United Church, 5879 Provincial Trunk Hwy 9, Lockport, MB. Pastor Rudy Fidel officiating.
Your song may be over, but your melody goes on forever in our hearts.
