Alexis Evelyn Rose Wavey
Alexis Evelyn Rose Wavey
April 4, 2009 - December 20, 2025
Alexis Wavey, just 16 years old, passed away on December 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with stage IV ovarian cancer. Alexis departed peacefully in her mother’s arms at Women’s Hospital.
Born on April 4, 2009, Alexis touched the lives of all who knew her with her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Despite facing immense challenges throughout her life, she carried herself with honesty, compassion, and a quiet strength far beyond her years.
Alexis was deeply loved and will always be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of those around her. She had a gentle heart, a strong presence, and a way of leaving an impression simply by being herself.
She was loved not only as a daughter, sister, niece, and cousin, but also as a proud auntie, a role she carried with tenderness and care for her nephews and nieces, whom she loved dearly.
Alexis was predeceased by her Grandpa Roy, Great-Grandmother Laura, and siblings Mika (passed 2022), Angel (passed 2005), and Joseph (passed 2006) , who welcomed her with love.
She is lovingly remembered by her mother Roberta (Mike); her siblings Tyson, Nathan, Josiah, Tristen, Samarah, Trinity, and Mikey; her nephews and nieces; her grandmother Susan; her great-grandfather Jerry; her uncles Jonathan (Tanya), Zack, and Alex (Sheree); her aunties Jaime and Autumn; Brian, a cherished family friend who was always there to help and support; and her many cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Alexis shared an especially close bond with her childhood cousin and best friend, Brooklynn. The two grew up side by side, forming a connection more like sisters than cousins. This loss has been especially heavy on Brooklynn’s heart, and their bond will remain unbroken, carried forward in memory and love.
Alexis will be forever missed and deeply loved. Her strength, courage, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
