Rock Fontaine

Honour... Respect... Dignity...

These three simple words are the foundation of Rock Fontaine Funeral Director.

In his early teens, Rock Fontaine first became interested in the funeral service profession. After graduating grade twelve in 1984, he began his long-term dream of becoming a mortician, and later graduated from the Western School of Mortuary Practice and Funeral Studies in 1990. Rock has worked in all aspects of the funeral service, working in family-owned and corporate funeral chapels in Manitoba.

After 10 years working in this capacity, Rock felt there was a need for a more personal and affordable approach to serving the bereaved. In 1994, he started Rock Fontaine Funeral Services later to be known as Rock Fontaine Funeral Director. With his personal approach, Rock meets families in their homes to plan the funeral for their loved ones. "The dining room table is where the most important family decisions are made," he says, "and it's important for the family to have the funeral in their home church."

For the past 12 years, Rock has been serving the church at large, with Christ's compassion and faith as his guide. He and his wife Lori (of 20 years) have a daughter Mercedes (7) and a son Noel-Cameron (2) They live in East St. Paul, MB and worship at Springs Church in Winnipeg.
